About Natalie (she/her)
I am a Black feminist healer and researcher whose work focuses on embodied well‑being, sexual and reproductive health, psychological wellness, and healing from identity‑based and other trauma. As a certified yoga and Pilates instructor, I integrate culturally responsive complementary and integrative health approaches into clinical care, research, and consultation.
I am completing my final doctoral degree requirement—a predoctoral internship in Health Service Psychology. Beginning in August 2026, I will continue this work as a Postdoctoral Resident in Health Service Psychology, deepening my trauma‑informed clinical and research practice with individuals exposed to chronic trauma.
My professional background includes clinical work across community mental health, inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, private practice, and university counseling settings, as well as community‑based research, outreach, and federally funded project management. I am a published author with over 57 scientific publications (check out my Google Scholar!) and a sought‑after speaker with more than 20 national and international presentations.
My yoga journey began in 2017, when my therapist introduced me to mindfulness and vinyasa. Since then, I have maintained a dedicated practice and completed yoga teacher training through The Om Place (Kentucky Yoga Collective) and Sterling Hot Yoga. Currently, I teach independently and at Evolation Yoga Atlanta.
.
I nurture myself through reading, time by the ocean, and exploring the rich flavors of new foods, coffees, and teas.
Natalie is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance.
