About Natalie (she/her)
I (she/her) am a psychology doctoral intern and a researcher who prioritizes Black womxn's wholistic wellness and sexual/reproductive health. As a certified yoga and pilates instructor, I integrate complementary health approaches and embodiment practices into my research, clinical services, and consultation. My professional experience includes clinical work in numerous mental health settings (e.g., community mental health, inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, private practice, university counseling), community-based research and outreach, and federally funded project management. I am a published author with over 50 publications in scientific journals and textbooks. Additionally, I am a celebrated speaker with over 20 presentations domestically and internationally.
My yoga practice began in 2017 when my therapist introduced me to mindfulness and vinyasa. Since 2017, I have maintained my practice and received yoga certification from The Om Place (Kentucky Yoga Collective) and Sterling Hot Yoga.
Natalie is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
